Former Amateur Champion of 1993 Iain Pyman and Sheffields Olly Whiteley shared the spoils at a cool but dry Hesketh for the second event of the season.
First in was Iain who made eight birdies and three bogeys for his round of 67. Out in 32 he continued his fine form with birdies at the last two par five holes.
Olly Whiteley fresh from winning at Stockport in the 1836Tour pro am continued his hot streak of form by recording no bogeys in his round.
Out in a steady one under 34 he made four birdies coming home to join Iain at the top of the leaderboard.
Former Ryder Cup player Peter Baker came close to joining them but fell one shot short. He had two equal halves of 34 and again was bogey free for his 68.
Tom Murray ever consistent returned a 3 under 69 to finish fourth on his own.
In the amateur section Reece Cranfield returned a creditable level par score of 72. Reece wins a free project X driver shaft fitting courtesy of True Temper at Nick Hibbs Tour X facility in Warrington.
Brian Sharrock won the senior section with a one par 73.
Next up is the event at Conwy on Friday 6th April. Conwy has hosted Open LFQ, numerous European Tour Senior events and Major Amateur International events.
